A RES ANTIQUITATIS é um projecto editorial do CHAM que pretende tornar-se um espaço para reflexão e debate interdisciplinar sobre a Antiguidade.
A RES ANTIQUITATIS é uma revista indexada de acesso aberto que se dirige não apenas ao público académico, mas a todos os leitores com interesse no mundo antigo.
Os artigos publicados na RES ANTIQUITATIS são submetidos a um sistema de double-blind Peer Review de pares.

O escopo principal fundamental deste projecto consiste na publicação de estudos relativos às várias civilizações da Antiguidade Mediterrânica(s), Africana(s), Asiática(s) e as distintas formas pelas quais a antiguidade foi recebida, percebida e conceptualizada ao longo do tempo.
Tal é procurado não só pelo seu valor científico intrínseco, mas também pela convicção de que tal esforço se pode vir a tornar, no seu conjunto, um equipamento e dispositivo conceptualmente relevante para o estudo de outros períodos e/ou tópicos/ questõesnhistóricos/as.
A RES ANTIQUITATIS pretende promover o desenvolvimento de Estudos Antigos e da Recepção em Portugal, sendo aberto à produção científica tanto de investigadores estabelecidosbbem como de estudiosos juniores.
Procurará destacar a pesquisa produzida em e fora de Portugal e, para o efeito, inglês, francês, espanhol (castelhano) e português serão as principais linguagens editoriais.
Internacionalização é crucial para a afirmação da investigação portuguesa.
A RES ANTIQUITATIS contribuirá para isso publicando o trabalho de investigadores portugueses e estrangeiros tornando-se assim um canal comum de intercâmbio e discussão científica.

This project’s main scope is the publication of studies linked to several Ancient civilizations (Mediterranean, African, Asian), and the distinct ways through which Antiquity has been received, perceived and conceptualized throughout time.
This is done both for its intrinsic scientific value as well as for the belief that such endeavor may become, on the whole, a valuable conceptual device/equipment for the study of other periods and historical topics/questions.
RES ANTIQUITATIS intends to promote the development of Ancient and Reception Studies in Portugal, being open to the scientific production of both established researchers and junior scholars.
It will seek to highlight the research produced in and out of Portugal and, for that purpose, English, French, Spanish (Castilian), and Portuguese will be the main editorial languages. Internationalization is crucial to the affirmation of Portuguese research.
RES ANTIQUITATIS will contribute to that by publishing the work of both Portuguese and foreign scholars in these languages, thus becoming a common channel of scientific exchange and discussion.
