Carla Vieira completed her PhD in Early Modern History in 2013 at the Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas (FCSH) da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. She is a postdoctoral fellow (Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, ) at CHAM - Center for the Humanities, FCSH, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, and researcher at the Cátedra de Estudos Sefarditas Alberto Benveniste (CESAB) in the Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa. She is the Principal Investigator of the project Western Sephardic Diaspora Roadmap, funded by the Rothschild Foundation Hanadiv Europe. She is also editor of the journal Cadernos de Estudos Sefarditas, published by the CESAB. She is the author of several journal articles, books and book chapters published in Portugal and abroad, and she is specialized in Early Modern History and Sephardic Studies.
