The International Day of the Greek Language (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic) was celebrated worldwide on 9 February. The FCSH of the NOVA University of Lisbon, in a joint initiative of ILNOVA - area of Modern Greek, Language and Culture - and the CHAM - joins the commemoration, with a conference given by two Professors (Leonor Santa Bárbara and José António Costa Ideias ), integrated researchers of the CHAM, who will reflect on the historical-linguistic and cultural importance of the Greek language, in its multimillennial diachrony, from ancient Greek to modern Greek.
