The IGSCP-PE - International Group of Studies of Colonial Periodical Press of the Portuguese Empire, formed by researchers, projects and institutions from 13 countries and the 5 continents, holds its first thematic workshop in Goa. Its aim is to make a public presentation of the project and to promote a discussion of its principles and scope, the construction of local dynamics, as well as an interdisciplinary theoretical and methodological debate about research on press. The workshop, held in English, will count with the participation of around 60 Indian, Portuguese and Brazilian researchers, librarians and other cultural agents.
