On the occasion of the first Portuguese full translation of the Logic or The Art of Thinking, generally known as the Port-Royal’s Logic - a remarkable and influential opus on so many levels, yet scarcely read by the Portuguese general public and academia -, we have invited scholars, editors, translators and researchers coming from the different fields affected by the implications of this classical book, in order to gather them around this Logic and thus debate, discuss and measure the meaning and import of its effects and consequences on issues that still concern and occupy our contemporary minds. 

In association with the colloquium, there will be the official book launch of the aforementioned translation, done by Nuno Fonseca and published by the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, on both the same place and date – January the 17th, at Room Multiusos 2, I&D building, FCSH, Lisbon.
