This international conference aims to analyze the political and cultural world that took shape during and after Utrecht. It aims do reassess the discourses and practices of negotiation, the forms of representation of powers, the cartographic productions and the new correlation of forces between the European States in the geostrategic framework that emerged after 1715. Finally, it intends to question the adaptability and the continuity of borders at a time when Europe faces new problems regarding sovereignty.
