This session is dedicated to the "Missionary work in the occupancy of the Brazilian territory"and is conducted by Fernanda Motta and Sergio Maitam, doctoral candidates from the Graduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism of the Federal University of Bahia (Brazil).

The Meetings on Art and Empire are a space of discussion, a forum where Portuguese and foreign researchers get together to discuss topics on the artistic production and the history of the European overseas empires.
