As part of Science and Technology Week, the UNESCO Chair in Ocean Cultural Heritage, the ERC Synergy Grant 4-Oceans, and CHAM present the activity "Curiosity Office – Diving into the History of the Oceans". This initiative offers an immersive journey into the oceans' past, where attendees can meet the 4-Oceans project team and uncover their work in a true "curiosity office". The activity invites participants to explore various stages of the scientific process within the environmental humanities for the oceans. From bibliographic research to the analysis of historical sources, including tales of mermaids and sea monsters, and culminating in the presentation of findings, this is an opportunity to delve into the fascinating intersections of history, science, and storytelling.
