This colloquium, organised by the research group “Representations, Discourses, Materialities and Uses of the Past”, aims to create a space for reflection and exchange for researchers in the fields of archaeology, history, and art history – with particular emphasis on early-career researchers (graduate students and PhD holders) – promoting interdisciplinary dialogue on the ways we study and interpret the ancient world.
Intended for CHAM researchers (and open to external researchers who are working in collaboration with CHAM members), this scientific event will focus on the articulation between the study of written sources, material sources, and sources that encompass both dimensions, as well as between theoretical discourses and historical and archaeological materialities. It will create a space of exchange between traditional methodological approaches and innovative and alternative perspectives, enabling a more integrated and plural reading of Antiquity.
