NOVA FCSH’s Africa Week, organised by the Centre for African and Lusophone Studies (NEAL) at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of NOVA University Lisbon, stands as a unique forum for gathering, reflection and celebration of the diverse realities of the African continent and its diasporas.

Under the theme “The limits and potential of international solidarity in affirming Africa as a politically sovereign, economically autonomous and culturally independent continent”, this initiative proposes a critical debate on the challenges and possibilities that shape relations between Africa and the contemporary world.
