The I Festival Literário Internacional Afro-Ibero-Caribenho will take place on 29 and 30 May at the Fernão Mendes Pinto Cultural Centre in Almada. By holding the event in a venue accessible to the general public, particularly Afro-Caribbean and other communities, the aim is to reinforce the international and democratic dimension of access to cultural debate, promoting intercultural dialogue as a critical, ethical and transformative practice in the pursuit of the common good.
This is an organisation endorsed by CHAM – the Centre for Humanities at NOVA FCSH – in partnership with CEDA – Centro de Estudos Documentais do Alentejo – Memória Coletiva e Cidadania / Revista Memória Alentejana, Almada Mundo – Associação Internacional para a Educação, Formação e Inovação, and the Union of Parishes of Almada, Cova da Piedade, Pragal and Cacilhas.
