Electoral process at CHAM (General Bodies and Research Group Coordinators)

The election for the governing bodies of CHAM – Centre for the Humanities took place last Friday, September 25, at NOVA FCSH’s Avenida de Berna campus.
We congratulate the new Director, Carla Vieira, as well as the other members of the new Executive Committee: Isabel Araújo Branco, João Muralha, Mafalda Pacheco, Margarida Rendeiro, Nina Vieira, Noemi Alfieri, Pedro Cardim, and Susana Serpa Silva. Also on this list were João Paulo Oliveira e Costa, as Chair of the General Assembly, Ana Cristina Correia Gil, as Vice Chair, and Maria Clara Leal, as Secretary. Researchers Carla Alferes Pinto and Edite Alberto were included on the list as Chair and Vice Chair of the Scientific Committee.
The morning also included the election of the coordinators for the eight research groups. There were changes in four groups: Cristina Brito (Environment, Interactions, and Globalisation), Sofia Figueiredo-Persson (Art, History, and Heritage), Raquel Ribeiro (Transcultural, Literary, and Postcolonial Studies), and Débora Dias (Information, Reading, and Forms of Writing). Rodrigo Banha da Silva (Archaeology and Landscapes), Paulo Jorge de Sousa Pinto (Social, Economic, and Political Dynamics), Luís Andrade (Early Modern and Contemporary Thought), and José Carlos Quaresma (Representations, Discourses, Materialities, and Uses of the Past) remained as coordinators.
A word of gratitude to the outgoing Board, particularly its Director, João Luís Lisboa, for all the work they have done over the past four years.
