The Templo d 'Escritas Literary Festival, which has been happening since the 6th October and will last until the 3rd December 2020 aims to privilege diversity, specificities and plurality of knowledge(s) coming from the global South, going against stereotypes and practices that relegate them to a peripheral space.
As evidenced by the Mozambican poet and one of the curators of the event Amosse Mucavele, the plurality of voices and approaches is at the center of Templos: «it is a festival based on the unfolding of multiple borders and literary geographies, with the intention of becoming a multidisciplinary hub dedicated to sharing dreams and questions, and which allow us to cross idiosyncrasies, identities, linking cultural and historical paths, bringing new dynamics to such a diverse community.»
