This course offers an introduction to cultural mediation, work area that in Portugal has been increasingly valued by the institutions responsible for the conservation, research and cultural heritage dissemination. Along its 12 hours we will have opportunity to reflect on the general objectives of mediation associated with the cultural heritage display and identify several specific objectives of diverse mediation tools, using a few examples of sites-archaeological centers, galleries, museums, libraries and archives, punctually analyzed.
