The exhibition «Pai Mar» is a photographic project developed as part of a scientific mission of the European Project CONCHA (H2020-MSCA-RISE 2017 No. 777998), under the responsibility of CHAM, with the aim of creating a photographic collection on Cultural Heritage at Maritime Interfaces.
In this regard, as a member of APCM - Association for Marine Sciences, Hermano Noronha undertook various missions to the islands of Santiago and São Vicente in Cape Verde, São Tomé, Ireland, and Colombia with the purpose of collecting visual testimonies of their people and landscapes. This photographic project focuses on the visual study of memory and identity in maritime landscapes, marine ecosystems, and the people who inhabit them through the collection of photographs and their contextualization in natural, urban, and artistic dynamics, linking different territories..
