The Young Researchers in Archaeology Conference (JIA) are scientific events that have as main objective to promote discussion, contact and knowledge of the research that have been developed by young researchers who have not finished their PhD projects. As it was established by the 2009 Decalogue the debate on archaeology is therefore the ideological and structural axis of the JIA conference.
In the past events, the JIA themes have shown a deep concern about the role of Archaeology in society and its relationship with other sciences. Therefore, in the VIII JIA we intend to continue this reflection by discussing the theme “Between science and culture: from interdisciplinarity to the transversality of archaeology”.
