The CHAM, the Maritime Museum, and the Portuguese Archaeologists Association are organizing the I National Meeting on Maritime and Underwater Archaeology, to be held from March 14 to 16, 2024.

The aim is to disseminate archaeological work conducted in the last decade and promote a scientific debate regarding the activities carried out in this field and within these contexts. This includes discussions on some of the preventive safeguarding interventions and valorization efforts, studies conducted in the city of Lisbon, and research dedicated to watercraft. Additionally, the intention is to foster a discussion on the current state of the art and future challenges in the field.
