Ecofeminism and the relationship of art with society

 

Ecofeminism, its origins and principles, and its connection to the current climate emergency are explained by Teresa Lousa in an episode discussing the attempt to overcome oppressions, the relationship of art with society, the stimulation of critical thinking, and the main protagonists of this movement. Teresa Lousa also addresses the intersectional perspective and the connection of ecofeminism with LGBTQIAPN+ causes and indigenous peoples.

Teresa Lousa is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts (Univ. Lisbon) and an integrated researcher at CHAM. She holds a Ph.D. in Arts and Heritage Sciences. Her areas of expertise include artistic thinking, the relationship between art and gender, art therapy, heritage, and artistic imaginaries.
