Isabel Araújo Branco is an Associate Professor at NOVA University Lisbon in the field of Hispanic studies. She is an integrated researcher at CHAM. She is the director of Cultura. Revista de História e Teoria das Ideias. She participates in the project "Transficción: La Literatura de la transición democrática española y las narrativas transicionales europeas" (Uni. Zaragoza), as well as in the portal project "Editores y Editoriales Iberoamericanos (siglos XIX-XXI)-EDI-RED" of the Biblioteca Virtual Miguel de Cervantes. She is a member of the Grupo de Investigación en Literatura Contemporánea (GILCO) (Alcalá University). She collaborates with the Centro de Estudos Comparatistas (University of Lisbon). She was part of the COST Action CA16204 "Distant Reading for European Literary History" (2017-2021), funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 Programme, as well as the research project "Nivelación de competencias en la adquisición de la competencia traductora (traducción escrita)", promoted by the PACTE group (Procés d'Adquisició de la Competència Traductora i Avaluació) at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. She was awarded the 2015 Mário Quartin Graça International Scientific Prize by the Casa da América Latina (Lisbon) for her PhD thesis. Among others, she has published the books Recepção literária das literaturas hispano-americanas em Portugal (Münster, LIT, 2021) and Tradução e edição de obras hispano-americanas em Portugal (Berlin, Peter Lang, 2020).
