This symposium brings together researchers from various countries who study the press made for and by women. It covers everything from studies on newspapers and magazines aimed at housewives to the combative feminist press, touching on topics such as literature, sports, and education.

The opening ceremony pays tribute to historian Zília Osório de Castro, creator of "Faces de Eva" magazine.
