Final evaluation of the WomenLit project by FCT

The project “Women’s Literature: Memories, Peripheries and Resistance in the Afro-Luso-Brazilian Atlantic”,coordinated by CHAM researcher Margarida Rendeiro, received a rating of “Excellent” in the final evaluation by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). CHAM congratulates everyone involved.
In its evaluation report, the FCT emphasized that the project constituted a “valuable and timely contribution to the study of women’s literature”, helping to fill a “significant gap” in this area of research. The report also highlighted the “clear social and scholarly relevance” of the work.
As part of WomenLit, 69 conference presentations were given and 43 publications were produced, including articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals, book chapters, and a co-edited volume. These results significantly exceeded the initially established goals. The FCT also highlighted the production of the documentary “Guardadoras de Histórias, Guardiãs da Palavra” and the podcast series “Todas as Vozes”.
