Fernando Ribeiro: BA in English-German Studies, U Lisbon (1981), DAAD Scholarship holder at University of Osnabrück (1982-1983), MA in Modern German Literature (1988), U Nova de Lisboa, PhD in Modern German Literature, U Nova de Lisboa. Researcher at CHAM since 2009. Lecturer of 17th, 19th and 20th Century German Literature and Culture at NOVA FCSH since 1984. He teaches, researches, translates and publishes on German-speaking authors such as Lessing, Hesse, Kafka, Zweig and Jung, and also studies the main features of German Culture reflected in the works of Portuguese writers such as Almeida Garrett, H. O’Neill, A. de Castro Osório and Fernando Pessoa.
