Transmedia artist and professor. Full researcher for CHAM-Centre for the Humanities at NOVA FCSH (Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa). Post-doctoral (2018) in Art and Heritage Sciences with the subject "Visionary and Psychedelic Art" at FBAUL (University of Lisbon). Interdisciplinary PhD at PPGICH-UFSC with the thesis "Visionary Art and Ayahuasca" (2009). His current topics of interest relate to the relationship between visionary painting and contemporary Portuguese painting, as well as contemporary Luso-Brazilian thought in general and its relationship with art and culture. He has collaborated with the subgroup Gerações Hispânicas since April 2017. He is an Associate professor at UNESPAR. Editor of the International Interdisciplinary Journal of Visual Arts - Arte&Sensorium. Member of the Advisory Board of the Research Center for the Study of Psychointegrative Plants, Visionary Art and Consciousness - WASIWASKA. Associate of the Nucleus for Interdisciplinary Studies on Psychactive - NEIP. He has published multiple papers in indexed international journals. Presented several conferences in international colloquiums and held national and international exhibitions in Chile, Portugal, Belgium, Spain, Austria, England, Italy, France, Germany, USA. Leader of the musical project: Innominatus. In 2022, he starts a new post-doc at NOVA investigating Fantastic Realism in Carlos Castñeda's literature and Lima de Freitas' paintings.
