PhD in History (2023) from Fluminense Federal University, with a dissertation on the governments of Salvador, Rio de Janeiro, and Angola during the Pombaline period (1750–1777). Awarded an Honourable Mention at the Mário Quartin Graça Prize (Casa da América Latina, Lisbon, 2024). Master’s degree in History (2018) from Fluminense Federal University, with a thesis on the provisional governments of the Portuguese Empire (17th–18th centuries). Bachelor’s and Licentiate degrees in History (2015) from the Federal University of Bahia. Member of the research groups Cia das Índias – Centre for Iberian and Colonial History in the Early Modern Period (Fluminense Federal University) and History of Culture in the Luso-Brazilian World (Federal University of Bahia). Research interests include political and economic history, diplomacy, and the environmental history of the Portuguese Empire in the Early Modern period. Currently developing a pedagogical project on the use of generative artificial intelligence in historical research, aimed at undergraduate History students.
