The opening of the exhibition "The Whale in Atouguia", which took place on March 31, 2023, was attended by researchers from CHAM who are part of the ERC 4-OCEANS project. This exhibition is based on narratives about human and non-human historical realities, highlighting the material and symbolic value of the whale and its contribution to the construction of the local nad national landscape. It will be open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm, at the Atouguia da Baleia Interpretive Center. The historical research and curatorship was conducted in collaboration with the Municipality of Peniche, by Cristina Brito and Nina Vieira, within the scope of the ERC 4-OCEANS project. The exhibition includes the permanent display of the artwork "BALEIA DESMINKE" by the artist Sea Groove.
