We are pleased to announce the presentation of the exhibition catalogue “Histórias que o rio nos traz”, which reflects decades of scientific research on the historical connection between Portimão and the Arade river. This watercourse played a crucial role in the city's development and was a key access point to the Algarve interior, integrating Portimão into a network of commercial and cultural exchanges.

This book features contributions from André Teixeira and Cristóvão Fonseca, curators of the exhibition, and also Gonçalo Correia Lopes, Joana Bento Torres, José António Bettencourt, Rodrigo Banha da Silva, and Tiago Gil Curado.
