Climate and Society is the central theme of the second edition of the Research and Innovation Day at NOVA FCSH. The programme, already available, reflects the growing interest of the academic community in scientific areas and projects related to this theme, highlighting the urgent need to address climate change and its impacts across various dimensions of society.

 

CHAM will be participating with presentation by Pedro Cardim in the session Climate and Society: The Contribution of Social Sciences , a space dedicated to sharing ideas and best practices on the role of Social Sciences in climate research. Researcher Ana Catarina Garcia will be leading the workshop Beachcombing and ARTivism in Ocean Conservation, where artistic creation using plastics collected from the sea and beaches will serve as a tool for environmental awareness, emphasising the impact of human activities on the oceans.

 

At Colégio Almada Negreiros, CHAM will be present with an exhibition space, alongside other research units, at the entrance of CAN.

 

In parallel, there will be a live session of CHAM Talks, creating an opportunity for dialogue and reflection on ongoing research, featuring Leonor Santa Bárbara. The interview, titled A Brief Introduction to Epicureanism, will take place at 11:00 in the Fencing Hall of Colégio Almada Negreiros.The interview will be conducted by Isabel Araújo Branco.
