The workshop Cross-Cultural Exchanges in the Early Modern Indian Ocean World aims to bring together Portuguese and foreign researchers to exchange current scholarship on the early modern Indian Ocean World. This event is organised by the ERC- and UKRI-funded project INTRECCI - Institutional Transformation and the Entangled Commercial Cultures of International Trade, 1450-1750 hosted at The University of Manchester (2024-2029) in partnership with CHAM - Centre for the Humanities of NOVA University Lisbon. The workshop will be conducted in-person and will be open to anyone interested in participating.
