This research group aims at studying the forms of writing, across different media and means, from manuscripts to printed matter, including the problematisation of the transformations introduced by digital media, as well as the relations between these forms, their meanings, and their uses. The group's programme consists in working on palaeographic, typographic, and digital objects, questioning their specific characteristics from technical, aesthetic, conceptual and functional points of view. This involves identifying the links between forms, media, transformations, and relations in writing and reading, and their agents and worldviews.
