NOVA RESEARCH PORTAL
My main focus is Roman Archaeology, particularly architecture, building materials, and technology.
I have an MA in Archaeology from Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2019), with a Thesis, «Gestão de Resíduos em Mirobriga - O sistemas de Saneamento - séculos I-IV d.C.», on Roman Urbanism and Sanitation at the Roman town of Mirobriga (Santiago do Cacém, Portugal).
In 2017 I took a semester abroad during my Master's degree at Università degli Studi di Roma Tre under the Erasmus+ Program to learn further on Archaeology of Architecture.
I'm currently researching for a PhD in History (Archaeology) at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, funded by the FCT - Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia and hosted by the CHAM - Centro de Humanidades (NOVA FCSH) with the support of EEHAR - Escuela Española de Historia y Arqueología en Roma (CSIC).
The project, «Arquitectura Pública e Representação Cívica no conuentus scallabitanus - Edilícia e Técnica nos balnea urbanos de época romana», focuses on studying the construction and building technology of Roman public bath complexes in Western Lusitania (Conuentus Scallabitanus).
